Inspiration - A magazine for sales people
and team leaders
In todays marked, recruiting the right people is a
challenge. To keep them on the team for a
long time can be just as challenging. They
will need to be inspired and motivated to
believe in the opportunities that the future
holds.
A
large percentage of people that are being
recruited have never been in sales before
and many of them will find it difficult in
the beginning. Unless we succeed in shoving
them what a career in sales can offer and
help them achieve results within short time,
they will not stay for long.
Our aim is to help clients succeed in maintaining a
strong team, for this they will need to sell
the career possibilities within the company
to their people. To assist clients in
achieving this we are supporting them with
their internal marketing. We created a
medium for sales people and team leaders
where they can experience how other people
have made their success, and get inspired to
follow their example. Some of the best
people in the industry have shared their
stories with us, and the challenges they
faced on their way to becoming a top
performer. Through Inspiration we are giving
new sales people important insight to help
them succeed and the experienced people a
reminder of career possibilities that are in
front of them.
We went searching for the answers to what motivates and
inspires people in the never-ending strive
for greater sales results, and met some
hard-working professionals with positive
attitudes and willingness to share the
secrets behind their success.
We have selected a few articles from the magazine, if
you would like a free copy of this edition
please contact Inspiration and we will send
you one.

We talked to one of the most successful sales people at
Anfi to find out some of her
secrets.
How do you keep your motivation throughout your
everyday work routine?
In my opinion, the
motivation you get by being
appreciated is one of the greatest
things in this industry. I remember
very clearly seeing one of the cars
used as a reward for the best sales
people and thinking; “I’m going to
drive that one day!”
And at that time, I still had
not made a sale yet!
But I made a promise
to myself, and when I came back to
work, I was the first to sell and
the first to drive that Porsche! Of
course, I have had my ups and downs
as well, which is perfectly human.
When I am a bit down, I
always try to go back to the goals I
had when I started, and to all the
joy I found because everything was
new. When I forget the past and all
negativity; I am back on track! This
is my trick, and it works every
time!!
What is on your mind when you go out to meet a new
client?
People are so different;
therefore it is important to have an
open mind and to try to communicate
with the clients on their own level.
It is all about trying to understand
people and never think that you are
better than them in any way.
|
|
You are there to help
them get something they never had,
to change their life to the better.
I am genuinely interested in my
clients and their needs. Because of
this, people trust me enough to tell
me personal things, and then they
trust me when I tell them about this
great product!
I never start selling
until the client starts asking,
because that is when they are ready.
Focus on giving people what they
want, and the sale is easy. Getting
all the positive feedback from my
clients, like postcards thanking me,
shows that we are doing the right
thing, and gives me enormous
motivation!
Do you have any word of advice to new people
entering this industry?
Remember to have fun!
I learnt a lot about myself
in this job and what I need in order
to perform. I am very grateful to
the leaders we have here at Anfi,
like Unn Tove, and to the external
trainer, Charlotte Muller. You do
not need a degree in anything to do
this; you just need to be interested
and motivated. Every day is
different in this job, you never get
bored and it is very social, so you
make a lot of friends. Another
benefit is that when doing it right,
you make great money!! I love my
job!!

Marcus Wall
Sales
Ownership,
Holiday
Club Åre
Marcus in one of the top performers at Holiday Club in
Åre, we wanted to find out what his
ambitions are, and how he intends to
reach them.
What did you learn about sales when you started
working here?
I have learnt how to listen carefully to what people
say, to ask the right questions at
the right time and to relate to
different situations. But I think
the most important thing is that
this job has made me a good
listener! In order to sell this
product, you need to know the
clients, and to do that, you must
listen. Many of the things I have
learnt have also become useful for
me personally. I have learnt never
to prejudge, ever!
How has your career developed since you started?
Whatever position I achieve in the future, I will
always look upon myself as a
salesperson. Being chosen as a part
of the group attending the Future
Management Team has been one of the
goals I have achieved, and I am very
happy about that. I am a competitive
kind of guy, and I find that useful
in this job.
|
|
What are your ambitions, how do you intend to reach
them and what kind of future do you
personally see in this company?
I have always set personal goals in everything I do,
and I have always wanted to reach
further. My goal is to take the
position of my superiors. Being a
part of FMT might be one of the ways
to reach my goals. Looking ahead, I
want to take the place of my boss.
Also, there are other places, other
resorts. I see no limitations, only
possibilities within this company,
and I want to be a part of their
future.
What is the best thing about working for this
company?
All the great people, and the fact that you always get
an answer if you ask. Nobody is
beyond reach, no leader is too far
away to give you the answer or the
feedback you need. The communication
works, we have some really fantastic
people working here and we have a
lot of fun! You cannot do this job
if you do not enjoy it. I am looking
forward to going to work every day,
even Monday mornings, because I know
I am going to have fun!

The right motivation
- brings the will to try and the faith to believe.
The past decade our industry has focused on progress
through the right motivation and
this made us ask the question: “ How
motivated do we get by helping
others and how can this improve our
achievements?”
 |
We spoke to Charlotte Muller
the director of Universal Sales
Success about their engagement in
humanitarian work and how this
effects their motivation
|
The feeling of making a difference and
being involved with helping those
who need it the most, makes it
easier to walk the extra mile.
The goal is not only to
reduce misery, but also to
participate in something that feels
like creating miracles.
In order to feel truly
inspired and motivated, the best is
to in some way be personally
involved. I went to
India
to see the project we support, and
the motivation that came from this
has truly inspired me in many ways.
We have chosen the Gerhard Fischer
Foundation for their remarkable
achievements, which we hope to
enlighten in the following article.
The Foundation helps people in
India
that are affected by polio and the
leprosy bacteria. They are building
leprosy-centers to cure the disease
and give shelter to those who can no
longer take care of themselves.
Leprosy
is still the most
stigmatized disease the world has
seen, and for some of these people
life is the same as 2000 years ago,
hidden away in caves far away from
the rest of the world. With medicine
and care they can still have a
quality life.
The Gerhard Fisher foundation is
looking at all problems caused by
the disease and is focusing its
power on creating a better future
not only for the patient but also
for their children. The destiny to a
child of a leprosy patient is a
future where learning the art of
begging is the only form of
education they will receive. They
are stigmatized in the same way as
their parents and they have very few
chances of living a normal life.
To help these children and give them a
different future where they can stay
healthy and learn a way to make a
living, they are being taken care of
by the GFF. They are given education
in schools that are being built for
them, and they get clothes and food.
But the most important seems to be
the love and respect that they
receive; this gives them a sense of
dignity and self-respect. That
brings along big smiles to their
faces and to the people that work
with them.
The funding of GFF has been done
solely through Gerhard’s own
sources, all work done by the
foundation is voluntary and there is
no profit being made. As a result,
15 hospitals and a number of schools
have been built, and thousands of
people have been treated and cared
for.
The Gerhard Fischer Foundation is an example of charity
working at its best!
In the future Universal
Sales
Success will continue to support
projects where we are personally
involved and recommend the same to
anyone who looks for inspiration.
